Dehumidifiers are becoming popular with households trying to manage humidity levels in their homes, which can be particularly difficult in the colder months. Condensation during the winter can wreak havoc in your home, leading to damp and eventually mould if not tackled correctly.
A dehumidifier can also help with speeding up your laundry drying time when using a clothing rack in the home – something many of us have to do when the weather outside means the washing line is out of use.
Over three years ago, I decided to invest in a dehumidifier after noticing my flat was prone to damp during the colder months. And I’ve been using the exact same dehumidifier ever since – with some impressive results.

Dehumidifiers really show their worth in the winter months, as colder weather can mean clothes take days to dry, but I’ve found putting my dehumidifier beside my clothing rack can drastically speed up drying time.
The major positive here is that it saves on using the tumble dryer – which can be notoriously expensive to run, whereas the dehumidifier has a low impact on energy bills.
The Pro Breeze dehumidifier is neat and compact so it doesn’t take over a room, and although it’s heavy when the water tray is full, once the water tray is pulled out and emptied, it’s easy to manoeuvre around to different parts of the house.
The only slight negative I’ve found is the buttons, as they don’t push in easily and could have been designed for easier use. Even so, it hasn’t stopped me from turning to my trusty dehumidifier when the winter months return.
