“Many people cut their grass as short as possible, to reduce the amount of times they have to mow, but this will actually kill your grass.

Despite the perceived timesaving benefit, cutting the grass too low can stress it out, leaving it susceptible to diseases, drought, and pests.

Chris Bonnett, the founder of Gardening Express, further emphasizes the importance of not mowing long grass too short, as it can harm the roots, promote weed growth, and damage lawnmowers.

As a guideline, it’s advisable to aim for a grass height of around three inches.

This allows the grass to maintain sturdy top growth, ensuring its strength and resistance to various challenges.
